The Blue Deal Congress is a platform for dialogue between business, public administration and EU institutions on water security and economic resilience. This year’s edition focuses on the implementation of the European Water Resilience Strategy and its practical implications for industry, agriculture and the financial sector.

The program is based on three main debates:

• Water in business
• Water in agriculture
• Financing and investment in water

Confirmed guests include representatives of the European Commission, includingPernille Weiss EhlerFrom the cabinet of EU Commissioner for Environment and Water Resilience Jessica Roswall, as well as Eduard Perard, Head of Water at the European Investment Bank. The Congress will also be attended by representatives of public administration and business leaders.

The program will complement theinnovation block, presenting technologies and solutions that can be implemented in Poland “here and now” – for industry, cities and agriculture.

Participation in the Congress is free of charge.

The 2nd edition of the congress will be held on May 14 this year Blue Deal Congress: Changing the future, during which key Polish and EU decision-makers will address key topics related to the Blue Deal, including:

• Financing of investments related to the EU Blue Deal
• Water safety
• Best practices – innovative water solutions

This year’s edition of the Congress takes on a special prestige, not only due to the close cooperation with the Water Europe – Europe’s leading expert organization on water management, which is moving its annual event – Water Knowledge Europe – from Brussels to Warsaw for the first time ever, but also thanks to the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU over our congress. This prestigious award underscores the event’s key role in shaping Europe’s water strategies and its importance for the future of water security on the continent.

September 24, 2024 saw the 1st edition of the Blue Deal Congress: Changing the future, during which key Polish and EU decision-makers addressed key topics related to the Blue Deal, including:

• Financing of investments related to the EU Blue Deal
• The importance of water in the energy transition
• Competitiveness of the European economy in times of coming droughts – the benefits of the Blue Deal for agriculture
